Vampires, Werewolves and Mexican

This week I watched Underworld 2: Evolution and last night enjoyed a very tasty meal at Monte Zuma’s Mexican Restaurant.

Underworld was good (if you like vampires vs. werewolves)…. basically picks-up from where the original Underworld movie ends and continues with lots of action. They also worked-on including a little more plot this time which provides some reasoning to all the violence, plus you get to see a little more of Kate Beckinsale’s skin (which is never a bad thing). Overall, if you liked the first one, you won’t be disappointed – if you don’t like this genre, then don’t bother.

Dinner lastnight was also really good! I haven’t eaten Mexican food (proper Mexican food – not your DIY taco’s at home) for probably close to 10 years and I forgot how tasty it can be.

I made an absolute glutton of myself by sharing in some dips for starters, then after eating my burrito and enchilada, helped Kristy finish hers and washed it down with a Dos Equis and a glass of sangria… mmmm… the bottomless Pete strikes again!

Afterwards we went to get coffee but discovered that all the coffee places around Indooroopilly were closed – at 9:30 on a Friday night!?! So we ended-up stopping at McDonald’s and had a drink there and then got home and crashed – as my Dad always says “Big dinner… Big sleep!”
